I just published the first book in a children’s series of books called the Connie Cooks Cozy Mystery series. Aimed at 7 to 9 year-olds, each book has a little mystery in it and a child-friendly recipe that they can learn to make themselves while reading the book. They also feature nine beautiful full-color illustrations of the story.

The first book is “Connie and the Missing Ladle” and introduces our heroine, Connie Jones, who is learning to cook from her Grampa.  But the plan to make biscuits runs into a snap when Grampa’s ladle, that he needs to finish and serve the stew for dinner, goes missing.

Connie must find the missing ladle and learn how to make the biscuits in order to get dinner ready by the time Mom gets home from work.  Can she do it?
